Scally's Irish Ale House | Our Story

Scrappy by Name, Quality by Nature

Scally's started with a name, a philosophy, and a refusal to settle for ordinary pub food. Here's how a little Irish scrappiness became Cape Cod's favorite ale house.
About the Name

About the Name

The name Scally is deeply rooted in Irish heritage and is most commonly known as an Irish family surname. While some associate it with the term scallywag or tales of spirited Irish-Liverpool characters, we like to see it a little differently. To us, a Scally is someone with a bit of grit, a great sense of humor, and a knack for enjoying life's simple pleasures. Picture someone in a classic Scally cap, gathered with friends, sharing stories over The Perfect Pint—that's the spirit behind Scally's Irish Ale House. It's all about good company, warm hospitality, and never taking yourself too seriously.
